ChatAja is committed to protecting children from all forms of abuse, exploitation, and inappropriate content. This page explains our child safety standards, prevention measures, and how to report child safety issues.
1Our Commitment to Child Safety
ChatAja has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy towards:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any visual content that sexually exploits children
- Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE): Any form of sexual abuse or exploitation of children
- Grooming: Attempts to build emotional relationships with children for exploitation purposes
- Sextortion: Threats to distribute intimate content of children
- Predatory Behavior: Adult behavior targeting children for sexual purposes
2Age Restrictions
ChatAja is NOT intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age set by law in your jurisdiction).
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under age
- If we become aware of a user under the age of 13, their account will be immediately deleted
- Parents or guardians who become aware of a child under age using our app are asked to contact us immediately
3Prevention Measures
We implement the following prevention measures to protect children:

- Automated detection system for suspicious content
- Trained human moderation team to review reports
- Immediate removal of content that violates policies
- 24/7 monitoring for suspicious activity
🚫 Feature Restrictions
- No photo or video sharing features
- No location sharing features
- No contact or personal information sharing features
- Restrictions on suspicious keywords and phrases
📢 Reporting System
- Easily accessible "Report" button in every conversation
- Special category for "Child Safety" in report forms
- High-priority response for child-related reports
- Fast escalation process for serious cases
4How to Report Child Safety Issues
If you see or experience child safety issues, report immediately through:
📱 Through the App
- Open the suspicious conversation
- Click the "Report" or "Report" button
- Select the "Child Safety" or "Child Safety" category
- Provide as much detail as possible
- Submit the report
📧 Via Email
Send an email to safety@chataja.app with the subject "URGENT: Child Safety Concern" and include:
- Perpetrator's User ID (if known)
- Description of the incident
- Date and time of incident
- Screenshots or other evidence (if available)
🚨 Emergency
If there is an immediate threat to a child's safety, immediately contact:
- Police: 110 (Indonesia)
- KPAI (Indonesian Child Protection Commission): 021-31901556
- Child Helpline Indonesia: 119 ext 8
- International: Contact local emergency services
5Report Handling Process
After receiving a child safety report, we will:
- High Priority (0-2 hours): Reports are immediately handled by a dedicated safety team
- Investigation (2-24 hours): Team reviews the report and gathers evidence
- Action (24-48 hours): Perpetrator's account is permanently blocked, content is removed
- Reporting to Law Enforcement: If necessary, we will report to competent authorities
- Follow-up: Reporter will receive confirmation of action taken
6Cooperation with Law Enforcement
ChatAja is committed to cooperating with law enforcement in child safety cases:
- We will respond to valid legal requests as quickly as possible
- We will preserve evidence for investigation
- We will report to NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children) for CSAM cases
- We will cooperate with Interpol and other international organizations
- We will provide information necessary for prosecution of perpetrators
7Sanctions for Violations
Violations of child safety standards will result in:
- Permanent Blocking: Account is immediately blocked without warning
- Reporting to Law Enforcement: Perpetrator information will be handed over to police
- Blacklist: Perpetrator will not be able to create a new account
- International Cooperation: Information will be shared with international child safety organizations
8Legal Compliance
ChatAja complies with all relevant child safety laws, including:
- Indonesia: Child Protection Law No. 35 of 2014
- International: UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
- US: COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act)
- EU: GDPR provisions for children's data protection
We report our compliance to regional and national authorities regularly.
